Hello Everyone Were back !

Its been a long time coming , After cleaning the Website up Cause of some hackers idiots injecting malware into the Code of the PHP … Annoying ….Server is locked down very nicely now. We also need to update the play list, this is something we are working on … So now the stream is up and running at 64K AAC will be updated to 80K soon. http://listen.hifipunk.com:8000/listen.pls Happy Listening

While we work at getting everything back to normal there may be some temporary blips in the stations from time to time. Just bare with us, and again thanks for the continued support, its a good feeling knowing how much people enjoy the non-stop tunes.

Sorry for the long delay – a lot of events caused the stream to be offline for so long. From data center problems, to expensive bandwidth, to working on other projects – we finally managed to get the radio station back online.

I will be posting more details, but for now start listening and spread the word that we’re back!

I would also like to thank everyone for their continued support of the station and motivation to get us back online.

If you have an iPhone or iTouch you can stream HiFi Punk straight to your pocket…for free of course!

Follow these directions to start jamming:

Connect to the App Store
Perform a search for “shoutcast”
Download “AOL SHOUTcast Radio” and install the app
Open the App and perform another search “hifi punk” (make sure to put the space in there)
Then click HiFi Punk!!!!!! And start streaming

Now you can have HiFi Punk in the car if you have the iPhone. My brother uses this everyday for his daily 2hour run. If you have a speaker hook-up for your device you can put on HiFi Punk for your party music.

Bad Religion 2009 Tour Dates (work in progress)

Bad Religion posted a blog update on their mySpace page with some insight into their touring schedule for 2009. Without great detail (no venues or bands) you can check out the list below to see if they will at least be in your city so you can start planning.

If you havn’t seen Bad Religion live I HIGHY recommend catching one of their shows. It will be one of the stories you tell your children about – “Kid’s this music you listen to these days is crap, I remember when your Mother and I went to the BR show and blah blah blah!”

They are coming up on 30′s years of playing kick ass music – so don’t be lazy and miss out before its too late!

Hey guys – sorry there hasn’t been much action on hifipunk.com. I am currently getting settled in Sydney Australia, where I will be running the station from for a while. Everything is still based out of the States, but we will be doing some international marketing over here. Once I find a good place to set up shop the posts will continue to
flow (shouldn’t be too long). Thanks for understanding!!!

Current events at HiFi Punk

Sorry for the lack of posts, along with the new year came a lot of responsibilities here at HiFi. We have been doing a lot of server work for the stream, and are planning on releasing other bit-rates and connection types shortly. This will enable people with slower connections to listen, conversely it will also give higher options for faster users with top quality sound.

We are also working on some CD reviews – so check back soon for updates.
